More features will not settle a difficult product decision.

Whether you’re validating a direction or scaling a product in market, connect the customer journey with the product, operational and commercial decisions behind it. We help your team identify the constraint, compare responses and decide what to prioritize next.

Who owns the step between them?

A journey can stop between teams, even when the screens work.

Illustrative product journey model. The actual question and scope are agreed together.

Customer journey. Business logic. Delivery reality.

A quick sense of fit

Does this sound familiar?

01

“The roadmap is a list of requests.”

Make the trade-offs and the customer problem explicit.

02

“Onboarding crosses too many owners.”

Find the step where the journey stops, not just the screen where it shows.

03

“Commercial and engineering priorities conflict.”

Compare the evidence, dependencies and decision rights in one view.

Fictional example / the reasoning in practice

A new lending feature is debated. Onboarding is still difficult.

Fictional example: a financial software team wants a new feature while users struggle to complete onboarding.

THE REQUEST IS A CLUE

The feature is the most valuable use of the next release.

What has to work together before the customer gets value?

The agreed journey, product rules, external dependencies and where responsibility changes hands.

Compare the responses

Clarify a step, resolve a dependency, test a smaller change or prioritize the feature.

A proportionate next moveTreat the drop-off as an observation. Its cause and the right response need evidence.

What Vikram brings

Clarity on the decision. A useful way forward.

  1. 01

    Trace the journey

Understand the user’s task and the path to useful value.

  2. 02

    Connect the dependencies

Examine business rules, information, integrations and ownership.

  3. 03

    Settle the priority

Frame options the product, commercial and delivery teams can assess.

A live product has a bounded journey to examine.

Product Audit

US$1,500

Evidence, friction and priorities

You need a senior product leader working within the team.

Fractional Partner

US$4,500/month

60 committed working hours/month

Possible starting points, not a diagnosis or required sequence. Full scope, exclusions and indicative timing are on each service page. Applicable taxes and agreed third-party costs are additional where legally applicable.

An honest fit

The right next step may be a smaller one.

When this can help

Useful when a product decision needs cross-functional reasoning or an agreed product leadership role. If the main uncertainty is demand, Go-to-Market Strategy may fit better.

Keep the responsibilities clear

A Chief Product Officer (CPO) role does not replace a compliance officer. Technical estimates, security assurance and regulated or legal signoff remain with the responsible specialists.

Before you decide

A few questions, answered directly.

What does Fractional Partner mean in practice?

It means Vikram works within the client team in an agreed product leadership role for the committed capacity. Priorities, access, authority, schedule and escalation are agreed at onboarding. It is not unlimited access or a full-time role by default.

Is a fractional CPO the same as a compliance officer?

No. A chief product officer (CPO) role concerns product leadership. Legal, regulatory and compliance advice or signoff remains with appropriately qualified professionals.

Can you work with our engineering and commercial teams?

Cross-functional product reasoning and alignment can form part of the agreed role or project. Technical implementation, estimates and assurance remain with the responsible delivery teams.

What if the main question is market demand?

Go-to-Market Strategy may fit better than an onboarding audit. The initial discussion should distinguish the uncertain decision before choosing a service.

Start with the situation

Which product decision is difficult to settle?

Share the journey, the competing priorities and the decision you need to make. Keep sensitive customer records out of the first enquiry.

Talk through the product decision

An enquiry starts a conversation. A preferred call slot is confirmed only after availability is checked.
